ROTTO Gypsum Universal coating material

Dry mix based on gypsum binder, fractionated sand, mineral finely divided fillers and modifying additives. 

RANGE OF APPLICATION: The mixture is intended for plastering concrete, cement, gypsum, previously painted smooth surfaces. For manual and mechanized application. For interior work.

FEATURES: It has thermal insulation properties. Creates a flat and smooth surface that does not need a primer before painting and gluing wallpapers. Layer thickness from 5 to 50 mm. Easy to apply.

PREPARATION OF PRIMARY STRUCTURE: The surface must be cleaned of dust, formwork oil, paint and similar substances. The temperature of the primary structure and environment should be within the range from + 5°C to + 30°C. Before applying the mortar, the base surface must be moistened and uneven or highly absorbent surfaces (foam concrete, gas concrete, old brickwork) should be treated with a deep penetration primer.

PREPARATION OF MORTAR: 

1. Take a precisely measured amount of water (9.5-10.5 liters. 25 kg per bag.);

2. Pour the mixture into water;

3. Stir with a construction mixer or drill with a special nozzle until a homogeneous mass is obtained;

4. Withstand a technological pause of 5-10 minutes for the maturation of the solution;

5. Agitate it repeatedly.

After that, the plaster is ready for use for 90 minutes with periodic mixing.

OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE: The plaster is applied to the primary structure and leveled by the rule. The recommended thickness of the plaster layer applied in one pass is from 5 to 50 mm. After setting starts moisten the plastered surface slightly, wipe with a sponge grater and smooth with a metal trowel. If it is necessary to plaster in several layers on the surface of the not yet hardened first layer, it is recommended to make a notch with a plaster comb or fingers and then apply a second layer of plaster on the dried surface (but not earlier than in a day).

WARRANTY AND STORAGE: Warranty period of storage in intact original packaging is 6 months from the date of manufacture. Shelf life is 12 months. Store in dry rooms, excluding ingress of moisture on bags with dry mix. Transportation of products should be carried out under conditions ensuring the safety of packaging and protection against moisture. Instructions for use are recommendatory in nature and do not replace professional training of a contractor. If the instructions and recommendations for storage and use are not followed, the manufacturer is not responsible for quality of the work performed.
